Interview with Jalil Roshandel: `The Iranian regime can't continue`

Today, Dr. Steven Spiegel interviewed Jalil Roshandel, Associate Professor and Director of Security Studies at East Carolina University, about the current protests in Iran and what steps should be taken by the international community in the future. Roshandel stressed the West's need to stay away from economic sanctions and focus instead on political sanctions.  Economic sanctions would have the biggest affect on the same people who are protesting in the streets rather than the Iranian government. Therefore, the United States, along with European countries, should focus on offering aid such as scholarships and political pressure.
